Newell Housing Foundation, based in Alberta, is a community-focused organization that provides housing and support for seniors and low-income families. The facility’s rooftop posed several safety concerns. Workers needed to access the HVAC system on a metal roof that offered no clear or secure route, exposing them to potential fall hazards. Kee Safety recommended and installed the Kee Walk® Rooftop Walkway System, a modular, non-penetrating solution specifically designed to provide safe access routes on metal roofs. The system included a combination of a ladder, walkway, and guardrail protection to create a complete access package.
The Kee Walk system clearly defines safe walking areas on the roof, minimizing the risk of slips and falls while ensuring the roof surface remains protected from damage caused by foot traffic or maintenance activities.
