Obstacles on the roof can force workers to climb unsafely over them, often placing themselves at risk by walking too close to the roof edge. We’ll work closely with you to understand the path your workers take across the roof and complete fall protection assessment. This will enable us to propose the correct products to create a safe and efficient path across the rooftop.

Fall protection can be incredibly challenging when confronting roof hazards, not just at the roof edge or near openings. Slippery surfaces from snow and ice during cold weather seasons and puddles or spills during the rest of the year. Changes in roof levels and slopes. Pipes, conduits, cables, and ductwork can get in the way. The slightest hazard can be amplified by a worker carrying tools and equipment. Fortunately, there are several intelligent solutions to provide rooftop fall protection and overcome these obstacles.
Each employee is protected from falling into a ladderway floor hole or ladderway platform hole by a guardrail system and toeboards erected on all exposed sides, except at the entrance to the hole, where a self-closing gate or an offset must be used.

A truly comprehensive rooftop solution follows the Hierarchy of Fall Protection. An expert starts by inspecting the roof site for potential fall hazards. From there, a complete system solution and recommendations are created that descend down the four levels of the hierarchy, from simple, sensible approaches for eliminating risks all the way down to lifesaving personal protection systems.
Collective Systems require no additional training to use. Fall Restraint and Fall Arrest Systems both require a high level of user competency, training and additional inspection to be used properly.
