Goals: To raise monetary donations, gift cards, or possible partnership in a donation drive to help provide any of the following items that have been requested by the survivors: tablets, MP3 players, art supplies, blankets, journals, etc.
Event: As the holiday season approaches, Common Thread is seeking donations for survivors. Common Thread, in partnership with the Texas Office of the Governor, is a relational advocacy program for children and young adult survivors of sex trafficking (0-22 yrs) in 58 counties across the state of Texas. This office services Harris County and the 13 surrounding counties.

I have recently helped the non-profit organization, Common Thread, during the Thanksgiving holiday by supporting survivors in the surrounding areas. With the support of my close friends and a few co-workers, I was able to put together over 50 Thanksgiving Day baskets!
