About the Institution: Baycrest Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing brain health and improving the lives of older adults. Baycrest provides care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia while also leading global research in neuroscience, memory, and aging through the Rotman Research Institute.
Through its long term care, hospital, and assisted living programs, Baycrest supports more than 1,100 clients each day while continuing to drive innovative research focused on cognitive health and aging.
At Kee Safety, we want to support our employees who are involved in helping both the community and causes that matter to them. Through our Kee Giving Program, we support team members who dedicate their time to meaningful initiatives.
Last year, we had the opportunity to support Chris Zhu from our Project Management team, who participated in the Mattamy Homes Bike for Brain Health in support of the Baycrest Foundation. The event brings together thousands of riders to raise awareness and funds for dementia research, brain health programs, and care for older adults.
Chris participated in the Mattamy Homes Bike for Brain Health, completing a 75 km ride alongside thousands of riders who came together to support brain health initiatives.
As part of this initiative, Kee Safety contributed a $1,000 donation to support the Baycrest Foundation and its work in advancing dementia research, brain health programs, and care for older adults.
His involvement participation highlights the impact individuals can make when supporting causes that improve the health and well being of our communities.
“Brain health is something that touches all of us, whether through family, friends, or our own future. Supporting proactive research, compassionate care, and innovative approaches to aging is something I strongly believe in, and Baycrest exemplifies all of this.”
The Bike for Brain Health event brings together riders, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who share a common goal of advancing dementia research and improving care for older adults.
Through the collective efforts of the community, the event has helped raise more than $17 million to support Baycrest’s work in dementia research, brain health programs, and senior care.
