Buddy’s Kitchen specializes in ready-to-eat frozen food, supplying airlines, convince stores, big box retailers, specialty food companies and restaurants from their 91,000 square food facility in Lakeville, MN, a suburb of Minneapolis. They had a commodity-type, free-standing stair system in place that they deemed unsafe, and in need of upgrading.

Buddy’s Kitchen considered custom fabricated and welded options, and ultimately came to Kee Safety based on our custom engineering capabilities coupled with the ease of assembly on site.
Kee Safety placed an emphasis on prioritizing the highest risk areas
Kee Safety integrated a perimeter guardrail on both sides of the stairs as you access the roof area to ensure the safety of maintenance staff from the adjacent roof leading edge.
The customer was extremely pleased with the speed and ease of the installation.
Roof surfaces can be extremely dangerous places to work, but not if Kee Walk Stepover is installed. It provides a safe, anti-slip, level walking surface to access areas of the roof and to safely walk across it. Step sections are adjustable and can be used on sloped roofs too. Added to this, it also protects the roof sheet from foot traffic.
