The candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and practical application of the hierarchy of controls as well as PPE equipment selection to be used in conjunction with flexible & rigid horizontal lifelines.

There are exercises which involve homework to establish an understanding of safe installation and use of power tools. This course also provides an overview of relevant standards and test methods, as well as studying Kee Line components in detail. There are several group assessment sessions throughout the exercises, and these are discussed in group sessions.

Once the students have completed the theoretical side of the course, they are then assessed on practically installing a flexible & rigid horizontal lifeline on a variety of substrates. This includes trapezoidal, standing seam, membrane roofs (tray liner and concrete deck), swaging cable and testing with Hydrajaws.

Once the product is installed, students are then taught the handover process and recertification process. Finally, students are requested to demonstrate their learning in a final quiz. A minimum score of 80% is required to pass this course.
